MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s and women’s tennis teams put two apiece on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams as announced Saturday by the PBC.
Women’s tennis senior Bertille Lion (Lyon, France) received two PBC honors this morning. She garnered PBC Second Team Singles and PBC Second Team Doubles. Sophomore Kayla Barksdale (Augusta, Ga.) joined her on the doubles all-conference team. This is Lion’s second such honor for doubles and first for singles. This is Barksdale’s first PBC honor.
Lion is 11-11 at first singles this season, going 5-5 in PBC action. As a pair, Barksdale and Lion are `14-7 with a 6-5 mark in the league.
Men’s tennis honors went to Jerome Leborgne (Coordimanche, France) and Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden). Both players received PBC Second Team Singles honors. Leborgne is 12-10 on the year at first and second singles. Wadstein also played in the top two spots, tallying a 12-7 record.
