MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Joined with the Thunder Crew student spirit group and the Student Government Association, Georgia College basketball will kick off the 2011-12 season in style with Bobcat Madness Thursday, Oct. 20, the doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
The pre-event tailgate will feature the band Elastic Skyline. Once inside, the program is jam-packed with a men’s intersquad scrimmage, dunk competition, three-point shootouts for both squads, performances by the cheerleaders, Sassy Cats dance team, Pep Band, and a live performance of the Georgia College rap by NGP. Fans can also look for giveaways throughout the evening and a $10,000 half-court shot to cap the festivities.
Serving as the annual kickoff to the Bobcat basketball season, Georgia College holds the annual high-energy Madness event to introduce Bobcat Nation to the basketball teams, having a lot of fun in the process.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 10 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
