INDIANAPOLIS – The Georgia College department of athletics finished in the top-100 of the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings this season, taking 86th in postseason finishes among 255 NCAA Division II schools.
The 86th position is highest for Georgia College since 2009, when the Bobcats were 60th. The best finish for the Bobcats came in 2006, landing 41st overall.
The Bobcats picked up 228.5 points for their postseason efforts, all coming during the spring season. Bobcat baseball provided 64 points to the cause, with men’s and women’s tennis combining for 100.5. Golf provided 39, while softball added 25.
Georgia College tied for 86th with San Francisco State University, and was fifth among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools.
