MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Joined with the Thunder Crew student spirit group and the Student Government Association, Georgia College basketball will kick off the 2012-13 season in style with Bobcat Madness Wednesday, Oct. 17, the doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
The pre-event tailgate with live music begins at 6:30 p.m. Once inside at 7:30 p.m., the program is jam-packed with scrimmages, games for fans, and performances by the cheerleaders, Sassy Cats dance team and Pep Band. Fans can also look for giveaways throughout the evening and one lucky member of Bobcat Nation will take a half-court shot for $10,000 to cap the festivities.
Serving as the annual kickoff to the Bobcat basketball season, Georgia College holds the annual high-energy Madness event to introduce Bobcat Nation to the basketball teams, having a lot of fun in the process.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
