Women's Basketball to Be Featured on "The Prowl" Oct. 2

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The third installation of “The Prowl” will hit the airwaves Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 5-to-6 p.m. on ESPN 1450AM. This month will feature the Georgia College women’s basketball team, broadcast live from Zaxby’s on North Columbia Street as part of the monthly “Meet the Bobcats Night".

The night will feature interviews with women’s basketball head coach Maurice Smith, sophomore guard Shanteona Keys, junior forward Abby Slocumb, and much more

Director of Athletics Wendell Staton and GC Athletics Hall of Fame Broadcaster Scott MacLeod will be on hand to talk all things Bobcat sports.

“The team is really excited,” Smith said. “We’re looking forward to reaching out to the community and raising interest in the program at the same time.”

Members of the women’s basketball team will be on hand from 5-to-7 p.m. to sign basketball schedules and meet young Bobcat fans. Ten percent of sales during the event will be donated to women’s basketball program.
