Burkard was chosen in the 49th round with pick 1,494.

Bobcat Baseball Holds Annual Scout Day
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University baseball program held its annual professional scout day (Oct. 20) at John Kurtz Field. This event allows Bobcat baseball players to showcase their abilities to professional scouts.

Carty and Bobcat Baseball Announce 2010 Schedule
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University baseball program and head coach Tom Carty released its 2010 schedule today (Sept. 30) featuring six teams ranked in the top-30 from last season’s Collegiate Baseball Rankings, half of which are Peach Belt Conference (PBC) opponents. The Bobcats are coming off a 37-19 season, third-place finish in the conference and a trip to the NCAA Southeast Regional. A season ago, the team held a 21-13 record against opponents they will face this year.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Starting in the late summer, each one of the three West Campus athletic facilities underwent major renovations at Georgia College & State University. Thanks to hard work by all involved, each of the West Campus renovation projects have recently been completed, greatly enhancing the experience of student-athletes and Bobcat fans.

Baseball Announces Walk-On Tryouts
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University baseball team has announced its walk-on tryout date for the fall. Any individual interested in trying out for the Bobcat baseball team first should attend the walk-on meeting held Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. at John Kurtz Field on West Campus. The actual tryout date will be Friday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m., also at Kurtz Field.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Former Georgia College & State University baseball player Brandon Anderson (2006-07), now a member of the Kalamazoo Kings of the independent Frontier League, started in centerfield for the East Team of the league’s annual All-Star Game July 15.
