Georgia College to Hold Youth Baseball Camp June 14-17
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Fresh off a trip to the 2010 Division II College World Series, the Georgia College & State University baseball program and head coach Tom Carty are hosting Bobcat Baseball Camp June 14-17 at John Kurtz Field on West Campus.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, youngsters have the chance to learn the game or fine-tune their skills and have more than a little fun in the process. The previous two-week format has been condensed to a single week, allowing aspiring baseball players from ages 9-to-12 a chance to learn from members of one of the best baseball coaching staffs in the southeast.
Head coach Carty was named the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) and NCBWA Southeast Region Coach of the Year this season, guiding the team to the NCAA Championship Finals, finishing third. In Carty’s three seasons as head coach, he’s already amassed over 100 wins and taken the Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament twice.
