MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – No. 9 Georgia College baseball (24-11) was out-scored 9-0 over the final three innings in falling to Newberry College (17-22) 14-13 at John Kurtz Field Wednesday.
An RBI single and two sacrifice flies put the Wolves ahead in the top of the ninth. Shortstop Chris Love's sacrifice fly provided the winning run.
Four Wolves posted multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 effort from leftfielder Derek Bley, scoring three runs and driving in a pair.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. with doubleheader action at No. 12 UNC Pembroke.
