Third Bobcat Professional Baseball Update

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – This is the third update on former Georgia College student-athletes working their way through the world of professional baseball. 

Michael Antonini (2007)
Pitcher for the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Double-A Southern League, affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers … Has compiled a 2-4 record thus far, with a 3.31 ERA in 35 1/3 innings of work … Antonini has a fantastic strikeout-to-walk ratio, currently sitting at 4-to-1 … He took the loss in his most recent start, lasting 5 2/3 innings, allowing three earned runs and fanning three against the Mississippi Braves May 5 … Opponents are hitting just .253 against Antonini this season.

Andy Reichard (2007)
Pitcher for the San Jose Giants of the Class A Advanced California League, affiliate of the San Francisco Giants … Reichard has thrown in six games with two starts, compiling an ERA of 1.96 in 18 1/3 innings of work … Opponents are struggling against Reichard, only hitting .235 off the righty … His most recent start was a great one, going 5 2/3 innings with no earned runs in a victory over the Bakersfield Blaze May 6.

Alex Burkard (2010)
Burkard is in rookie ball pitching for the AZL Angels … Their season has yet to get underway.

Martin Dewald (2010)
The righty has signed a contract to play for the River City Rascals Independent Frontier League … The regular season begins next week.

Sean Harrell (2010)
The outfielder has signed a contract to play for the Southern Illinois Miners of the Independent Frontier League … The regular season begins next week.

Brendan Malkowski (2010)
The right hander has also signed on to play for the Southern Illinois Miners of the Independent Frontier League … The regular season begins next week.
