First Bobcat Baseball Profession Update for 2011

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The time has come again for Major League Baseball (MLB) and three Georgia College student-athletes are working their way up the MLB ranks.

Michael Antonini (2007)

Pitcher for the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Double-A Southern League, affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers … 1-1 record in two starts this young season posting a 2.31 era … In 11 and 2/3 innings pitched he has struck out seven batters and only walked one … The win came against the Birmingham Barons scattering four hits over six innings and surrendering no runs … The Lookouts currently sit in third in the Southern North Division with a 4-3 record.

Andy Reichard (2007)

Pitcher for the San Jose Giants of the Class A Advanced California League, affiliate of the San Francisco Giants … Mainly a reliever, he has made two appearances coming out of the bullpen posting a 3.00 era … Pitched six innings only allowing two runs over five hits … San Jose is in a three-way tie for second place in the California North Division at 4-4.

Alex Burkard (2010) is in the Rookie Ball League pitching for the Arizona Angels … Their season has yet to get underway.
