Inaugural Baseball Team Meets up Again for Alumni Weekend

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The inaugural 1969 Georgia College baseball team met for its annual cookout Friday, March 22 as part of 2013 Georgia College Baseball Alumni Weekend. Rain washed out alumni festivities the next day, but it wouldn't dampen the spirits of "The Boys of '69".

In 2009 when Georgia College honored the squad on its 40th year reunion, 11 of the 12 surviving players made the trip (one is deceased - Larry Herndon).  This year marked the first that the 1969 baseball squad had all 12 living players together.
