GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the All-PBC Baseball Teams Tuesday night at the PBC Tournament Banquet, with Georgia College (29-17) putting three players on the squad. Shortstop Daniel Bick (Alpharetta, Ga.) earned a first team nod, with first baseman Clay Ardeeser (Loganville, Ga.) and outfielder Jake Sandlin (Evans, Ga.) taking spots on the second team.

Bick is hitting .352 with three home runs and 40 RBI this season. He ranks second in the PBC with 63 runs and seventh in the league with 16 stolen bases. Bick is the first Georgia College shortstop to be named All-PBC since Tanner Funk in 2011.

Ardeeser owns a .361 batting average in just his second collegiate season, adding seven home runs and 52 RBI. He ranks ninth in the conference in doubles (16) and RBI. His .459 on-base percentage ranks 10th. Ardeeser is the first Bobcat first baseman to take All-PBC honors since newly-inducted GC Hall of Famer Chris Carr in 2001.

Sandlin is hitting .325 on the year, adding seven home runs and 35 RBI. The freshman is 11th in the PBC in home runs, and ranks 12th with a .525 slugging percentage. The last freshman to earn All-PBC honors for Georgia College was MLB draftee Richard Pirkle in 2008 at designated hitter.

The three gives GC 64 All-PBC awards all-time. The Bobcats have won 23 in head coach Tom Carty's six seasons.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, May 8 at 10 a.m., facing Columbus State University to open the 2013 PBC Tournament.
