GC Baseball Learns Fate for NCAA Regional
INDIANAPOLIS – Having made it home from a Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament Championship victory a few short hours beforehand, the Georgia College baseball team (33-17) was a member of the 48-team field announced for regional selections by the NCAA late Sunday night.
The Bobcats will be the No. 5-seed in the Southeast Region, traveling to Mount Olive, N.C. to take on No. 2-seed USC Aiken (41-11) Thursday, May 16 at 3 p.m. Host and No. 1-seed Mount Olive College battles No. 6-seed Lincoln Memorial University at 7 p.m., while No. 3-seed Armstrong and No. 4-seed Coker College get things rolling at 11 a.m.
The Bobcats advance to their first NCAA Regional trip since 2010, the year Georgia College took its second NCAA Regional Championship in school history.
