MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior righthander Matt LaMothe (Troy, Mich.) of the Georgia College baseball team was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for his efforts during the week ending May 12.
LaMothe went the distance in two starts this week during the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament, taking Tournament MVP honors. LaMothe tossed a total of 18 innings, allowing 11 hits and five walks for just six earned runs. The senior righty struck out five batters while going 2-0 and leading Georgia College to its first PBC Tournament Title.
