Bobcats’ Szathmary Named NYCBL Pitcher of the Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Georgia College baseball's rising senior Daniel Szathmary (Suwanee, Ga.) was named New York Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the Day for his efforts June 26 as a member of the Syracuse Salt Cats.

Szathmary got the start at the Geneva Red Wings, throwing five shutout innings in the win, allowing just two hits and three walks. He struck out two in evening his record to 1-1.

Szathmary and the Salt Cats are now 9-6 overall in third place, just a single game back.
