Ga. – Junior pitcher Justin Blue (Mulberry, Fla.) of the
Georgia College baseball team (3-0) was named Bobcat Athlete of the
Week for the week ending Feb. 3.
Blue pitched the second game of the doubleheader Saturday night. He dominated the game with his right arm as he tossed all seven innings, picking up a five-hit shutout, scattering five singles. He fanned seven and walked a pair in the 90-pitch outing.
Blue is a transfer from Pasco-Hernando Community College in New Port Richey, Fla. where he played two seasons before his debut game for Georgia College Feb. 2.
The Bobcats are back out on the field Friday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m., when they travel down to the University of Tampa to take on the Spartans.
