Baseball Adds Wilson as Assistant Coach

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball program and head coach Tom Carty are proud to announce the addition of assistant coach Jonathan Wilson.

Wilson played as a middle-infielder and designated hitter during his undergraduate program at Truett McConnell College. He was named Freshman of the Year for the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Region as he led the team with a batting average of .411 and an on base percentage at .512. Wilson was also named to the NCCAA All-South Region Team for 2009 and 2010. During the summer of 2011, Wilson coached the Jackson High School summer team.

Wilson recently received his undergrad degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Truett McConnell with a 3.49 GPA and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia College.

The Bobcats are off to a 3-0 start on the field after sweeping Mars Hill College at home, the Bobcats’ best start since their 2003 season where they started 4-0. They’ll be back in action Friday, Feb. 8 when they travel to take on No. 11 University of Tampa.
