Bobcat Baseball Starts Fall World Series Friday Afternoon

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball annual fall World Series, better known as "The Steak Series" begins Friday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. at John Kurtz Field. Assistant Coaches Jud Sullivan and Brandon Durden will each manage a team they put together at the Steak Series draft earlier this week.

In a Steak Series first, a six-player trade was conducted after the draft, including the top players drafted on both teams. Coach Sullivan’s Goonies sent the No. 1 pick All-Region designated hitter Cody Maas (Alpharetta, Ga.) with All-PBC reliever Matt LaMothe (Troy, Mich.), and Austin Clark to Durty D’s Squad as coach Durden gives up Daniel Bick (Alpharetta, Ga.) with Steve Hazel and Christian Wonders.

This will be the Ninth Steak Series since its inception in the fall of 2004. Coach Durden was an assistant on the squad that won 4-2 a year ago. All games are free and open to the public.

Game 1 – Friday, Nov. 2 – 3 p.m.

Game 2 – Sunday, Nov. 4 – 5 p.m.
