Bobcat Baseball Adds Eight in Early Signing Class

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball program, head coach Tom Carty and assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Zeke Mitchem have inked eight recruits for the 2015 season during the early signing period. Bobcat baseball will add three junior college transfers and five high school ballplayers.

"We are very excited about this early sign recruiting class for the 2015 season," said Carty. "Under coach Mitchem's leadership, the staff was able to find eight student-athletes who will fill specific needs in our outfield and on the mound. We have 11 seniors on the 2014 team that will need to be replaced, and this recruiting class will help us accomplish that goal. We will still have some other needs to address this Spring, but this class will allow us to focus on those more specific needs to keep Georgia College baseball in the hunt for Peach Belt Conference and NCAA Championships."

The Bobcats start the 2014 campaign Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. with doubleheader action against King College at John Kurtz Field.
