MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball team recently snagged the No. 4 spot in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bobcats will be coming back from a productive season that included a Peach Belt Tournament Championship and a strong campaign in the Southeast Region Tournament.
The Bobcats are placed right behind No. 1 USC Aiken, No. 2 Lander University, and No. 3 University of Montevallo. UNC Pembroke rounds off the top five. The USC Aiken Pacers received nine out of the possible 11 first-place votes.
During the regular season the Bobcats will face-off against three of the top five teams. They will first make a home stand against UNC Pembroke at the beginning of March. In April the Bobcats will take a pair of road trips travelling to Lander April 11 and then to Montevallo April 26.
The Bobcats will kick-off their season Saturday, Feb. 8 at John Kurtz Field on West Campus at 1 p.m. They will be taking on King University.
