TUCSON, Ariz. – After a 4-1 start, the Georgia College baseball team was rewarded with a four-spot bump, taking No. 28 in the most recent Collegiate Baseball Newspaper National Rankings.
The Bobcats are third among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools ranked, behind No. 17 USC Aiken and No. 20 Lander University. The Bobcats have two non-conference games against another ranked opponent, No. 4 Valdosta State University.
The University of Tampa remains No. 1, despite a loss to the Bobcats. The Spartans are followed by No. 2 University of West Florida, No. 3 Minnesota State University and the University of Southern Arkansas rounds out the top five.
GC baseball is back in action today, Feb. 18, hosting the University of West Georgia at 3 p.m.
