MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. – Senior Ryan Sabalaskey (Carol Stream, Ill.) of the No. 24 Georgia College baseball team (35-15) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week of May 5-11. This is his first honor of the season and the baseball program's fourth overall.
Sabalaskey hit 5-for-7 over the two games this week at the PBC Tournament, good for a .714 batting average. He drove in three runs, scored another three, and had a 1.000 slugging percentage with a pair of doubles. He went 4-for-4 in the win over UNC Pembroke, including a walk.
The Bobcats are back in action today, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. against Columbus State University on day two of the NCAA Southeast Regional. The tournament is being hosted by Lander University in Greenwood, S.C.
