Josh Taylor (2014)
Pitcher for the Portland Sea Dogs, the Boston Red Sox Class Double-A affiliate in the Eastern League … Started season with Class-A Advanced Visalia Rawhide, traded to the Red Sox organization after going 1-2 with a 2.81 ERA over 14 relief appearances … Added 20 strikeouts over 16 innings for the Rawhide … Has pitched in 15 games for Portland, going 1-2 with a 5.29 ERA and four saves in five opportunities … Totaled 17 whiffs in 17 innings … Has one earned run over his last five appearances.
Logan Mattix (2018)
Outfielder for the Quad Cities River Bandits, Class A affiliate of the Houston Astros in the Midwest League … Has played in 18 games, going 13-for-63 with four doubles, six runs and three RBIs.
Brandon Benson (2017)
Outfielder for the Gulf Coast Cardinals, Rookie League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals in the Gulf Coast League … Has played in 11 games, going 7-for-28 with eight runs and five RBIs … Swatted a two-run home run against the GCL Mets, his second round tripper of the season.
Brandon Purcell (2018)
Catcher for the Gulf Coast Cardinals, Rookie League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals in the Gulf Coast League … Has seen action in eight games, going 5-for-21 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and a run … Has hits in four of the last five games.
Brandt Stallings (2018)
Recently joined the Greeneville Reds of the Rookie Appalachian League after spending 12 games with the Billings Mustangs, another Rookie League affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds in the Pioneer League … Went 8-for-38 in those games for Billings, scoring three times and driving in another.
Michael Antonini (2007)
Pitcher for the Somerset Patriots in the independent Atlantic League … Has made 22 relief appearances, owing a team-best 1.68 ERA and a 2-2 record with 28 strikeouts in 26 2/3 innings … Owns a 0.79 WHIP and a .148 opponent batting average … Has allowed one run in his last seven appearances … Somerset won the Liberty Division in the first half with a 35-28 record and is tops again in the second half with a 3-0 mark.
Daniel Bick (2014)
Shortstop for the Ottawa Champions in the independent CanAm League … Hitting .309 with 19 RBIs, a home run and 24 runs scored … Has 13 extra-base hits among his 50 over the 44 games … Has four multi-hit games in July thus far … Ottawa is 22-27, positioned sixth in the league standings.
