Georgia College Pep Band Takes Second at PBC Competition
AIKEN, S.C. – The Georgia College Pep Band took second place at the annual Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Spirit Group Competition, the highest finish among GC entries.
Also competing Saturday was the Georgia College Cheerleading Team, along with the Sassy Cats Dance Team.
The pep band finished a close second to UNC Pembroke, while the cheerleaders and dance team did not place in the top-three.
GC’s Pep Band continued its success in the PBC Spirit Group Competition, after taking the title the previous two years. Georgia College has won the competition 13 times in the past 17 years.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, back-to-back winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 10 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
