MARTINEZ, Ga. - Junior Francisco Bide (Buenos Aires, Argentina) of the No. 9 Georgia College & State University golf squad was named Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced today (March 26). This is the first such honor for both Bide and the Bobcats this season.
Bide won the Bobcat Invitational this week, his first career tournament victory. The junior was the only member of the field under par for the three-round tournament, putting up a pair of 71s before a final-round 66 that sealed the win. He bettered the field by two strokes, helping the Bobcats to the team title as well.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, April 20 at the PBC Championships, hosted by UNC Pembroke.
