CHARLOTTE, N.C. - On the strength of two tournament wins and just two finishes out of the top-10, former Georgia College & State University golfer David Robinson leads the 2008 Tar Heel Tour Money-Winners List just past the mid-way portion of the season.
A member of the inaugural Georgia College Athletic Hall of Fame class, he started off the season with a win at the Rivertown Open, carding three rounds at a total of five under. He struck gold again at the NorthStone Open, going 68-66-70=204 for the win at 12-under.
His last three finishes have been in the top-five, and with eight tournaments remaining, Robinson leads second-place Andy Bare by nearly $20,000.
Up next for Robinson and the rest of the tour is the River Hills Open, hosted by River Hills Country Club in Lake Wylie, S.C.
