MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Pedro C. Lima (Sao Paulo, Brazil) of the Georgia College & State University golf team was chosen as the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Golfer of the Week as announced by the conference. This is the first PBC honor for Lima and the Bobcat golf team this season.
Lima helped lead Georgia College to an impressive second-place finish at the Raines Development Group Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion University. The junior didn't have the greatest opening round with a three-over 75, but bounced back with 68-69 in his final two rounds to finish tied for fifth with a four-under-par 212. The Raines Development tournament featured 16 Division I teams and two Division II teams, with Lima as the highest-finishing Division II player, one stroke ahead of teammate Niclas Johansson (Skanor, Sweden).
Lima and the rest of the Bobcat golf team are back in action Sept. 29-30 when they travel to Morrow, Ga. to compete in the State Farm-Laker Collegiate Invitational hosted by Clayton State University.
