MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Senior Francisco Bide (Buenos Aires, Argentina) of the No. 1 Georgia College & State University golf team was named GCSU Athlete of the Week, the sports information office announced today (Sept. 15). This is the first such honor for Bide and the Bobcat golf team this season.
Bide led the Bobcats to victory at the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted PBC member USC Aiken. Bide finished tied for the lead at the first tournament of the year firing a three-under 69 on day two. He shot 141 in the tourney and was beat by Seth Fai of the University of Indianapolis on the first playoff hole. Bide's 69 was the third-lowest round of his career.
