NEW YORK – The Georgia College & State University golf team was slotted at the sixth spot in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches' Poll.
The Bobcats earned the sixth spot after receiving one first place vote and accumulating 312 points overall. Georgia College was one of three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in the top-25 and the only PBC team in the top-15.
Florida Southern College earned 12 of 19 first-place votes to claim the No. 1 ranking in the D-II poll. The Mocs claimed last year’s NCAA title.
Rounding out the top-five are No. 2 Barry University, No. 3 Nova Southeastern University, Chico St. University at No. 4 and Lynn University at No. 5.
