GC Golf Moves up in National Rankings
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College golf squad owns positions in the top-25 for both the Golf World/Nike Golf Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division II National Poll and the GolfStat Head-to-Head National Rankings. GC is No. 21 in the GCAA poll, adding a No. 22 position in GolfStat.
In the GolfStat Rankings, the Bobcats are behind just three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in No. 5 UNC Pembroke, No. 16 Georgia Southwestern State University and No. 17 Armstrong. Nova Southeastern University takes over the No. 1 spot.
The Bobcats are fourth among the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed in the Golf World poll, led by No. 14 UNCP. GSW is No. 16, with USCA in 18th. Armstrong is behind the Bobcats in 24th. Barry University jumps from third to first in the coaches poll.
These postings do not factor in the Bobcats’ 10th place finish at the uber-tough 2012 Bobcat Intercollegiate early this week.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, March 26 at the Bearcat Invitational in Greenwood, S.C.
