MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College golf program and head coach Jimmy Wilson announced the Bobcats’ fall schedule Tuesday. The list features four road tournaments in three different states.
The Bobcats get underway Sept. 5-6 at the Kiawah Island Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C. Georgia College returns to South Carolina for its second tournament of the season, the Bobcats looking to defend their title at the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate in Florence, S.C. Sept. 12-13.
It’s off to Florida to finish off September, as GC heads to Destin, Fla. for the Sandestin Collegiate Championship, hosted by the University of West Florida Sept. 26-27.
The fall season comes to a close at the Aflac Invitational, hosted by Columbus State University Oct. 3-4.
The Bobcat men’s golf program returns two All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) performers from a year ago, with junior Patrick Garrett (Kennesaw, Ga.) and sophomore Gavin Harper (Twin City, Ga.) set to lead the 2011-12 squad. Reigning PBC Coach of the Year Wilson guided the team to two titles and nine top-five finishes in 2010-11.
