Bobcat Golf Positioned 16th in the Country
NEW YORK – The Georgia College golf team owns the No. 16 spot in the final Golf World/Nike Golf Division II College Coaches’ Poll of the fall, released recently.
The Bobcats are fourth among the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in the nation’s top-25. Georgia Southwestern State University takes a spot in the top-10 at No. 10, while UNC Pembroke is ranked No. 13. USC Aiken is ahead of the Bobcats at No. 15.
Lynn University retains the top spot, taking four of the 20 possible first-place votes. Barry University is second, with CSU-Stanislaus in third.
The Bobcats are on winter break from action, and will take to the links again Feb. 13-14 at the Matlock Invitational, hosted by Florida Southern College.
