NEW YORK – The Georgia College golf team is ranked No. 14 in the Men’s Division II October Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches’ Poll that will appear in the Oct. 3 issue of Golf World.
GC golf garnered 157 points in the poll, only 13 behind Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe Columbus State University. Other notable PBC teams in the top-25 are No. 17 USC Aiken, No. 18 Armstrong, No. 21 Flagler College, No. 22 UNC Pembroke and No. 24 Georgia Southwestern State University.
Abilene Christian University took the top spot with 368 points, followed by the University of Central Oklahoma, and NCAA runner-up Lynn University rounds out the top-three. Defending NCAA Champion CSU-Monterey Bay still sits at No. 6.
The Bobcats square-off in their final tournament of the fall season Oct. 3-4, at the Aflac Invitational hosted by Columbus State University.
