Bobcat Golfer Wins State Am Qualifier
GREENSBORO, Ga. – Georgia College golf rising senior Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.) earned medalist honors at the State Amateur Qualifier at Great Waters Tuesday.
Fox shot a two-under 70 at the Northeast Qualifier for the State Amateur Championship at the Reynolds Plantation Great Waters course. He bettered the field by two strokes, and was the lone golfer under par for the one-round event.
Fox now qualifies for the 2013 Georgia Amateur Championship July 11-14 at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga.
Fox was a leader for the Bobcats this season, posting a 74.3 stroke average (good for third on the team) and a top-five finish among his nine events.
