Rain Washes Out Pirate Invitational for #12 GC Golf

SAVANNAH, Ga. – After the first round of the 2013 Pirate Invitational was cut short by rain Monday, no teams took to the course on Tuesday.

Rain was scheduled to end by noon on Tuesday, but the course conditions were unplayable after the rain Monday. This is the first time weather has cancelled the Pirate Invitational in the 12-year history of the event.

The Georgia College golf team will be back in action March 11 at the Southeastern Intercollegiate in Valdosta, Ga.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
