FLORENCE, S.C. – Taking on a Division I field, the No. 16 Georgia College golf squad climbed two spots to ninth in the final round Tuesday at the Spring Hill Suites Intercollegiate, played at the Country Club of South Carolina. The Bobcats shot a final round 287, the third-best round of the day, to go with yesterday's 303 and 287 for 13-over par on the par-72, 7,062-yard course.
Senior Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.) led the charge, taking 12th overall among 65 golfers at one-under par. His final round 71 was teamed with yesterday's 76 and 68, meaning he posted two of the three rounds at sub-par.

Freshman Conner Albright (Macon, Ga.) fired an even-par round today, his best of the three in his first collegiate tournament. The rookie finished plus-eight in 48th after rounds of 78, 74, 72. Harrison Stewart (Roswell, Ga.), also playing his first collegiate rounds, posted an 88 and 79 yesterday with another 79 today.
USC Upstate took the team trophy at 12-under par, as yesterday's 12-stroke lead trimmed to just a pair over second-place Presbyterian College. Presbyterian's Carter Davis won individual medalist honors as well at 10 under, besting a four-way tie in second by three strokes.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, Sept. 16 at the Kiawah Island Invitational, hosted by USC Aiken.
