MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College golf team is slotted in the fifth spot in the latest Division II Regional Golf Rankings. GC Golf is a member of the Southeast Region.
The Bobcats are behind fellow Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members USC Aiken, Columbus State University, Armstrong Atlantic State University and Flagler College, ranked one through four respectively. One more PBC team made the top-10 with Clayton State University ranked sixth. The top-10 is rounded out by Queens University, Mount Olive College, Erskine College and Lincoln Memorial University.
The poll is used to determine the at-large teams selected for the NCAA Regional round in May. Three automatic bids will come from the conference tournament champions from the PBC, Conference Carolinas and South Atlantic Conference. The remaining seven slots are determined from rankings in the NCAA Southeast Region Poll.
The Bobcats will play in the PBC Tournament April 18 and 19 in Callaway Gardens, Ga., hosted by Columbus State.
