Bobcat Men’s Hoops Adds Praylo

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University men's basketball program and head coach Terry Sellers has announced the signing of Robert Praylo.

Praylo comes to Georgia College via Aiken Technical College (Aiken, S.C.) where he played for head coach Bruce Capers. Robert is originally from Savannah, Ga. where he played at Beach High School.

"Robert is a 6-foot guard that can defend and shoot the basketball," said Sellers. "We really like his toughness, defensive intensity, and leadership qualities. We believe he has the ability to play both the point guard and shooting guard position. Robert has proven to be a good student and we believe he is a great fit for the Bobcats."

Praylo averaged 15.1 points, 3.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game this past season. He shot 50.8 percent from the field, 48.4 percent from the three point line, and 78.1 percent from the foul line. For his efforts, he was selected to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Region Third Team.

The Bobcats are fresh off a 22-7 season in 2008-2009. GCSU made a trip back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006 and had its third 20-win season in the past four years. The Bobcats lose a trio of seniors including Shaun Keaton (2006-09) who was named First Team All-Conference and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)/NCAA All-Southeast Region First Team.
