MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - With two more victories last week, the Georgia College & State University men's basketball team (17-2, 10-0 PBC) now owns the No. 2 slot in the NCAA Southeast Region Poll, released yesterday.
The Bobcats are second behind 15-2 Augusta State University, not factoring in Georgia College's win last night over North Georgia. Francis Marion University is third, with Catawba College in fourth. No. 5 is Mount Olive College, No. 6 Anderson University and No. 7 is Lincoln Memorial University. The bottom three are USC Aiken, Pfeiffer University and North Georgia.
The region poll is the one used to determine the five at-large bids for the NCAA Tournament in March.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Feb. 6 at 3:30 p.m., hosting Clayton State University.
