INDIANAPOLIS – On the strength of eight wins in their last nine games, the Georgia College men’s basketball team (16-8, 9-6 PBC) took sixth place in the first NCAA Southeast Region Men’s Basketball Rankings.
The Bobcats are fourth among the six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams in the list. Lincoln Memorial University owns the top slot, with King College in the second slot. The PBC’s USC Aiken is in third, with the University of Montevallo fourth, and Augusta State University positioned ahead of GC.
The region rankings are used to determine the five at-large bids to the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament in March.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to Georgia Southwestern State University.
