AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its All-PBC men’s basketball teams Tuesday, with Georgia College senior forward Scott Ferguson (Roswell, Ga.) earning a spot on the third team.
Ferguson has been a team leader for the Bobcats all season long, ranking 12th in the PBC in scoring (15.7), 11th in rebounding (7.2) and 15th in blocks (19). He posted 19 double-digit scoring games, including four with 20-plus scoring.
He had the game-winning three-point play with less than 15 seconds left against UNC Pembroke, capping a 28-point, six-rebound performance. He also posted 27 points at Clayton State University with seven rebounds, and made a trio of three-point buckets in consecutive possessions under five minutes left to help the Bobcats take control of a win at Lander. Ferguson has led Georgia College in scoring in 14 games this season.
All-time, GC men’s basketball has now put 29 student-athletes on the all-conference list. Georgia College has now put players on this list for eight straight seasons.
The 2012-13 season has come to a close for GC men's basketball, a 9-17 year with a 5-14 conference mark. The Bobcats finished the season third in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in fewest turnovers per game (11.3) and second in defending the three-point shot (.306). Head coach Terry Sellers picked up his 200th PBC win this season, his 20th at the helm of Bobcat basketball.
