GC Men’s Basketball Helps Habitat for Humanity
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men's basketball team continues to make a positive impact on the greater Baldwin County area, including recently helping out at a Habitat for Humanity build site.
Coaches Mark Gainous, Chris Ryan and Ryan Aquino joined Bobcat student-athletes Brian Hill (Augusta, Ga.), Larrentis Thomas (McDonough, Ga.), Alex Reid (Savannah, Ga.) and Will Clifton (Norcross, Ga.), helping with anything from painting to carpet work and external digging.
"We were excited to work with Habitat for Humanity here in Milledgeville," said Gainous. "It's always good to get out in the community and I think it was a great experience for our guys. We helped paint, ripped carpet and padding out of one of houses, dug a pipe out of the ground amongst other things. Murali Thirumal (Milledgeville Habitat Director) is doing great things with Habitat and we are glad we could help out."
These helpful Bobcats look to get their season started in mid-November. Check back to www.GCBobcats.com for the full schedule release when it becomes available.
