MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its weekly basketball honors, with Georgia College's Isaac Thomas (Trion) earning the first PBC Player of the Week honor in his career.
Thomas dominated play in the 65-55 win over Flagler College Saturday, posting 19 points with 21 rebounds. The 21 boards are the seventh-most in a single game in school history, and the most since Jan. 4, 2007. The junior forward added five assists and a pair of steals to fill the boxscore.
Thomas brings in the 26th PBC Player of the Week honor in program history, the most recent going to Garrick DeBowles one year ago to the date.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to Georgia Southwestern State University.
