ALBANY, Ga. – A double-double from Kohl Roberts (Atlanta) led four scorers in double figures as the Georgia College Men's Basketball team (4-1) extended a win streak to four by beating Albany State University (1-4) 71-65 Tuesday.
Roberts had 19 points and 10 rebounds against the Golden Rams. He was 9-for-15 from the floor, pulled in seven offensive rebounds and also swatted three shots.
Senior guard Desmond Mitchell-LaFlam (New Smyrna Beach, Florida) added 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and a trio of steals to fill the boxscore. Junior sharpshooter Colton Collins (Etobicoke, Ontario) came off the pine to drop 15 points, including 4-for-7 from behind the arc.
A tight game throughout, the Bobcats led for the majority of the contest but couldn't stretch out that advantage. The lead reached its height of 10 points at 52-42 on a three by Collins with 13:19 left in the second half.
GC Men's Basketball won the hustle points tonight, owning a 26-12 advantage in points off turnovers and 18-5 in second-chance points.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to USC Aiken to start PBC play.
