MARTINEZ, Ga. -- The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) office announced Max Beliankou (Minsk, Belarus) of the Georgia College & State University men's tennis team (5-1, 4-0 PBC) to its most recent Player of the Week honors.
Beliankou led the Bobcats over No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic State University (7-1, 4-1 PBC) when he defeated No. 21 Tim Johannsen 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 in the deciding match, giving the Bobcats the 5-4 team victory.
Georgia College is the first school to defeat Armstrong Atlantic in two years.
Beliankou and the Bobcats return to action Thursday, March 5 against Mount Olive College at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility with matches beginning at 2:30 p.m.
