Georgia College Athletics Puts 80 on PBC Presidential Honor Roll
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 80 Georgia College student-athletes making the list. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2011-12 academic year.

Leborgne, Wadstein Named All-American for Doubles
SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Georgia College men’s tennis team pulled in Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American honors in doubles for just the second time in school history, as the ITA recently announced the selection of GC’s Jerome Leborgne (Coordimanche, France) and Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) to the All-America list.

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4-seed Georgia College men’s tennis squad (12-8) started of the NCAA Southeast Regional #1 with a bang, toppling No. 5-seed Francis Marion University (10-7) by a 5-2 score at Bacon Park. A win by Leo Bernardes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) in third singles clinched the team victory.

AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 29 Georgia College men’s tennis squad (10-7, 4-5 PBC) won its third-consecutive Peach Belt Conference (PBC) match Saturday afternoon, defeating No. 33 USC Aiken (8-7, 1-7 PBC) 6-0. The victory clinches a spot in the PBC Tournament for the Bobcats.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Junior Wictor Andersson (Karlskoga, Sweden) broke Jenner Stevenson to clinch a 7-6, 7-5 victory and secure the No. 29 Georgia College men’s tennis squads (9-7, 3-5 PBC) upset bid at No. 12 Augusta State University (14-6, 3-3 PBC) by a score of 5-3 Friday afternoon.

Youth Tennis Festival Provides Unique Experience
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s and women’s tennis team hosted an array of Milledgeville youth this past Saturday, allowing children to participate in a tennis festival that involved numerous games and activities. All proceeds for this event and the Milledgeville Open public tennis tournament went directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
