MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Andreas Ainalides (Heusenstamm, Germany) of the Georgia College men's tennis team earned Bobcat Athlete of the Week Honors for his performance at the NCAA Southeast Subregional Tournament.
Ainalides provided the clinching victory in the opening round against Francis Marion University. The Bobcat took on Gavin Davison, coming away with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 victory. He also earned a doubles win with partner Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) as the duo came back from a 4-1 deficit to win 8-6 against then national ranked No. 16 Alex Caspari and Gavin Davison.
Ainalides finished the year with the most wins on the team at a 17-4 record. He helped the Bobcats to 19 wins on the season, tied with the 1988-89 season for the most in the program's history.
