Bobcat Men’s Cross Country Picked Fifth in PBC Poll
MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its Men’s Cross Country Preseason Poll Wednesday, with Georgia College taking the fifth spot in the nine-team league.
The Bobcats picked up two third-place votes and three fourth-place votes, finishing with 39 total, just two behind No. 4-ranked Augusta State University. Defending champion Columbus State University was first, with UNC Pembroke in second and Clayton State University taking third.
The Bobcats took fourth place at the PBC Championship meet in 2010, thanks in part to an All-PBC Second Team finish by Dan Horseman (Cohutta, Ga.).
GC cross country starts its season Friday, Sept. 2 at home, hosting the Bobcat Invitational on the West Campus Cross Country Course.
