GC Men’s Cross Country Finishes Fourth in Jaguar Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia College men's cross country team traveled to Augusta, Ga. Friday, Oct. 5 to compete in the 8K Jaguar Invitational, hosted by Augusta State University. The Bobcats took fourth out of 11 teams.
Junior Philip Laskey (Marietta, Ga.) would lead the way again, this time finishing eighth with a time of 26:44. Laskey's time puts him on the all-time GC top 10 list for 8K races, at ninth, Laskey already holds the number five spot on the list. Tucker Forbes (Lilburn, Ga.) had his highest finish in 2012, coming in 22nd with a time of 28:36.
Freshman Paul McNeil (Dunwoody, Ga.) placed 32nd out of 80 runners with a time of 29:18. Michael Valerio (Evangs, Ga.) was right behind McNeil with a time of 29:24, good for 35th place. Dylan Price (Buford, Ga.) put up his first scoring finish of his freshman year, coming in 37th with a time of 29:31.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships in Montevallo, Ala.
