MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The summertime once again brings another season of Georgia College & State University's top-notch athletic camps. The Bobcat Softball Individual Camp Program, beginning June 8.
Run by Georgia College skipper Ginger Chaffinch, there are two sessions of softball camps at GCSU. The first, for 5-8 year-olds is June 8-11 from 9 a.m. to noon. The second session is for ages 9-to-12, and runs June 15-18 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Helmed by a six year collegiate coaching veteran, the Bobcat Softball Individual Camp Program will provide individual instruction on softball fundamentals, while also providing an opportunity for campers to enjoy the game of softball. The camp will focus on position players and offensive skills -- participants will receive instruction on fielding, hitting, throwing, catching, pitching, base running, and defensive and offensive strategies.
